Labourer charged in murder of ‘Crawb-Up’
KINGSTON, Jamaica – A labourer from Upper Love Lane, Kingston, has been charged with murder following a shooting in the community on October 31.
The accused, 28-year-old Christopher Latouche, has been charged with murder, possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition, and using a firearm to commit a felony.’
The deceased is 35-year-old Andre Burke, otherwise called ‘Crawb-Up,’ a vendor of Love Lane.
Reports from the Central Police indicate that around 7:45 pm, Burke was walking home when he was reportedly attacked by Latouche and another man, who opened gunfire, killing him.
The gunmen then escaped on foot.
An investigation was launched, and Latouche was arrested and charged following police inquiries.
His court date is being finalised.
