Michail Antonio ‘conscious and communicating’ following car crash
KINGSTON, Jamaica— Jamaican striker Michail Antonio has been admitted to a hospital in London and is “conscious and communicating”, the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) has confirmed.
The JFF, in a statement combined with that of the football club West Ham, said that Antonio is under close supervision at the hospital.
Antonio was admitted following a serious car crash on Saturday afternoon. The circumstances surrounding the crash have not been disclosed.

Reggae Boyz head coach Steve McClaren wished Antonio a speedy recovery following the incident.
“On behalf of the entire group of players, support staff and technical staff, I would like to wish Michail a speedy recovery. Our thoughts and prayers are with him at this time,” McClaren said.
President of JFF, Michael Ricketts added: “On behalf of the entire Jamaica Football Federation family, I would like to wish Michail a safe and speedy recovery. At this point let us keep him in our prayers as he recovers.”
