Ja Invitational: Gaye comes from behind for 400m win
KINGSTON, Jamaica — In-form quarter-miler Demish Gaye of GC Foster College showed his class with a come-from-behind win in the men’s 400m, posting a time of 45.08 seconds at the ongoing 14th staging of the Jamaica International Invitational meet at the National Stadium in Kingston.
Gaye, running from lane four ran a steady race from the break and was comfortably pacing on the backstretch before making a late move in the straight to win going away from the field.Kevin Borlee (45.52s) of Belgium closed well for second, with American Tony McQuay (45.73s) being relegated into third.Sherdon Cowan
