Ja Invitational: Blake signals strong comeback with 100m win
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The resurgent Yohan Blake signalled a return to form with a blistering 9.93-second clocking to win the men’s 100m at the 14th staging of the Jamaica International Invitational meet at the National Stadium in Kingston a short while ago. American rising sprinter Ronnie Baker clocked a lifetime best of 9.98 for second, with compatriot Mike Rodgers in third in 10.02.
American Morolake finished top in the women’s 100m in a time of 11.06s ahead of Trinidad & Tobago’s national record holder Michelle-Lee Ahye with a similar time of 11.06s.Allyson Felix, one of America’s most decorated female sprinters, finished back in third in 11.07s.Sherdon Cowan
