Two killed in St Ann crash
TWO men were killed and two others injured in a motor vehicle accident on the Cave Valley main road in St Ann Sunday.
The dead men have been identified as Chyston Wright, 18, and Clive Carty, 33, both of Luggie Green, Grantham, Clarendon, while injured are Earl Johnson of Morant District in Clarendon and Basil Walker of a Mandeville, Manchester address.
The police said that at about 1:15 pm, a Toyota Corolla motor car, registered 3266 PP, driven by Johnson was travelling towards Cave Valley when on reaching the vicinity of the Baron Hall Estate it was involved in a collision with an Isuzu Wizard motor car, registered 1112 BY, driven by Walker, which was travelling in the opposite direction.
The occupants of both vehicles sustained serious injuries. Wright and Carty died on the spot. Johnson and Walker were taken to the Percy Junor Hospital and later transferred to the Mandeville Regional Hospital where they were treated and released.
