#ParisOlympics: Navasky Anderson into 800m men’s repechage
National record holder Navasky Anderson will contest Thursday’s repechage round of the men’s 800m at the Olympic Games after he finished fifth in his first round race in one minute 46.82 seconds at Stade de France on Wednesday.
Anderson, who made the qualifying standard 1:44.70 on July 30th last year, has struggled since, including being disqualified at last year’s World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
On Wednesday, he finished outside the top three automatic qualifying places that went to Great Britain’s Ben Pattison- 1:45.56; Edmund Du Plessis of South Africa- 1:45.73; and Kenya’s Wycliffe
Kinyamal- 1:45.86.
