JPS hosting Developers Forum for construction sector today
IN light of the recent boom in local construction and development, JPS is hosting a forum aimed at developers and other individuals undertaking construction projects.
Noting that increased activity in the sector has seen greater demand for electrical services, material and equipment, JPS said it will be sharing critical guidance for industry players, as well as new policies and procedures for the smooth completion of these projects. The Developers Forum, as it is named, will take place today, October 30, at Jamaica Pegasus hotel in New Kingston under the theme: ‘Educate, Stimulate and Building Partnerships’.
According to JPS, the forum will highlight the need for the seamless integration of electricity services into construction projects in order to avoid delays, added costs, and inconvenience for stakeholders. It will feature business leaders in the electrical industry as well leaders from Jamaica Developers Association, Jamaica Institute of Architects, and Jamaica Mortgage Bank, who will share insights and knowledge on the requirements for project development and implementation.
Additionally, the Developers Forum will offer attendees a platform to establish valuable connections with industry peers, including suppliers. Attendees will also have the opportunity to address their specific questions and concerns regarding electricity services and infrastructure development.
“The Developers Forum represents our commitment to supporting the construction industry in Jamaica,” a company release quotes Senior Vice-President of Energy Delivery Blaine Jarrett. “By engaging with JPS early in the planning process we can help builders avoid costly delays and streamline their projects. Our aim is to be a proactive partner for construction professionals and facilitate their projects’ success.”
