Taxi driver killed in accident

A taxi operator was killed and his two passengers injured in an accident on the White River Main Road in St Mary this morning.

Dead is Ainsworth Boreland, 31, while injured are two men ages 37 and 38.

Police reports are that about 1:50 am, Boreland was driving a 1991 Toyota Corolla motorcar along the main road when a Toyota Tundra motor truck, which was reportedly overtaking, collided into it, injuring the occupants. They were taken to the St Ann’s Bay Hospital where Boreland succumbed to his injuries while the others were admitted.
