‘You can’t tell my feelings’: Elephant Man ‘hurt’ over Dandimite’s death, ignores Bounty diss
Dancehall star Elephant Man has chosen to ignore Bounty Killer’s explosive remarks regarding Elephant Man’s perceived silence in the wake of fellow former Scare Dem Crew member Boom Dandimite’s death.
“Mi nah embrace negativity,” he told OBSERVER ONLINE when contacted Thursday evening.
“How man fi no hurt from Dandmite dead? How man fi no mash up? How this fi no shook man? Memba mi hear say Dandimite crash and good and then all of a sudden, man hear say Dandimite dead, this no muss jerk up man wicked, wah yu a talk bout bredda?” a hurt Elephant Man said.
In response to his silence on Instagram and his other online platforms, he shot back:
“Elephant no live fi Instagram and mi no live fi people, mi live fi the Almighty, the Creator.”
Elephant Man was a member of the Scare Dem Crew alongside Dandimite, Harry Toddler and Nitty Kutchie. The crew soared to the top of dancehall charts in the late 1990s with a slew of hits such as Many Many, Pure Gal and Badman Nuh Dress Like Girl.
“Dandimite passing hurt me so bad, mi de pon the phone with the man sister, him bredda, him daughter, him babymother, him father and to how this shook everybody,” he said, his voice cracking up.
Boom Dandimite died Sunday morning in a hospital in the US after suffering a relapse during his recovery from a car accident in April.

Elephant Man said he was one of the first persons to become aware that Dandimite had fallen into a coma on Saturday.
“The Saturday when Dandimite de a Miami inna coma, Sharon Burke call me and mi run dem offa mi phone, ‘stop chat foolishness, nothing no go so, Danidmite de a Seaview and alright, him good and a recover from him crash.’ Sharon say ‘Ele it serious man’ ah Papa San she call and him say him de de a pray over Dandimite,” he revealed.
Elephant Man, who is the godfather of two of Boom Dandimite’s daughters, said he was surprised at Bounty Killer’s comments regarding his silence on Instagram.
Bounty made an emotional post on Tuesday and a fan commented that Elephant Man hadn’t issued any form of condolence publicly towards Boom Dandimite’s loved ones.
“Killa stay strong, I can’t believe humans can’t forgive nd forget. Elephant can’t even send condolence regardless of what happened back then,” the Instagrammer wrote.

Bounty Killer immediately shot back: “Elephant is a real animal.”
The Warlord continued: “miss Yvonne died his mom, and he did not say rip no feelings no emotions, ask his kids ntn surprising wicked youth u reap whatever u sow though he’s gonna reap all that he sowed just like all of us god not sleeping boom never bring me a studio Ele couldn’t buss hope he remembered.”
However, Elephant Man intimated that that his perceived silence was actually a deep paralysing grief over a “brother’s death” as he wasn’t trying to ‘look no hype offa Boom Dandimite death’, a thinly veiled diss directed towards Bounty Killer.
“So memba say Saturday, even before the deejay pass, ah me and Papa San de pon the phone when Papa San ah pray over him ah the hospital, go ask him dat. But true me don’t come out and tell the public that, mi no live fi public, mi no live fi Instagram, mi no live fi dem ting de, mi nah look no hype offa Dandimite death…it shook man, and ray, so mi no haffi come talk nothing, Dandimite ah mi bredda, we write song, we travel together, mi de a foreign and mi sleep a Boom yard,” he said.
Elephant Man said that he had not read Bounty Killer’s explosive post cause “mi no draw negativity to my attention”.
“This whole thing hurt me, this must mash me up, and mash me up wicked. This mash up wicked. Ah just God bredda, ah just God, you can’t tell my feelings. May God watch over Boom soul,” he said.
Elephant Man is now at a show in Vancouver in Canada.
