Woman shot and injured in Manchester

MANCHESTER, Jamaica — A woman has been hospitalised following a shooting incident in Davyton, Manchester on Saturday night.

A police source said about 8:30 pm the woman was travelling in a motorcar when the vehicle was ambushed and shot up by gunmen in Davyton.

The injured woman reportedly managed to escape and make contact with the police who assisted her to hospital.

Her injuries are not considered life-threatening.
