Waterhouse now in sixth place in JPL
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Waterhouse moved into sixth place on the Jamaica Premier League points tables after a close 1-0 win over Tivoli Gardens in their return round game played at the Anthony Spaulding Complex on Monday.
Shaquiel Bradford’s first-half goal avenged Waterhouse’s first-round loss as they moved past Portmore United into the final playoff position with three games left to be played.
Waterhouse, who rebounded from their loss to Harbour View last week, are on 37 points, two more than Portmore United.
In the first game of the doubleheader, a goal-in-time added at the end of the second half from Fabian Reid gave Arnett Gardens a 1-0 win over Dunbeholden and also avenged their first-round loss.
Reid’s 14th goal of the season came four minutes into time added as Arnett Gardens improved to 46 points, the same as leaders Cavalier who are ahead on goal difference.
