WATCH: Rowdy Mona High students storm JC, hurl insults during wild Manning Cup celebration
ST ANDREW, Jamaica – Celebrations of Mona High School’s first Manning Cup title turned ugly on Monday as students stormed into neighbouring Jamaica College (JC) while hurling insults to security personnel at JC’s Old Hope Road compoound.
In a video making the rounds on social media, Mona High students, who appeared to be part of a motorcade in celebration of the school’s football triumph, were seen running towards JC’s gate while blowing vuvuzelas, making gun sounds and shouting offensive slurs towards the school’s security guard.
The behaviour of the students is being condemned by observers on social media.
Mona High became the 15th school to win the ISSA Manning Cup title after clipping Hydel High 1-0 in the final at the National Stadium on Friday.
The Craig Butler-coached team added their names to the list of Corporate Area football champions thanks to a 10th-minute goal from Demarion Harris.

The Manning Cup’s winningest school, Jamaica College beat St Andrew Technical High (STATHS) 7-6 in sudden death penalties in the final of the knockout Walker Cup competition.

JC have won the Manning Cup title 31 times and came into this season as the defending champions having won the competition last year.
