WATCH: Remembering fallen children
KINGSTON, Jamaica – It’s been nearly four years since the brutal rape and murder of 14-year-old Yetanya Francis in her community of Zimbabwe in Arnett Gardens.
Her family is still waiting for justice as the case remains unsolved.
On Sunday, her father Lionel was among the attendees at the Kingston and St Andrew Municipal Corporation’s Child Month Wreath Laying Ceremony, in memory of the nation’s children who have died under violent/tragic circumstances, at the Secret Gardens Monument in downtown Kingston.
Also participating in the event was Rosalee Gage-Grey, CEO, Child Protection and Family Services Agency and students.
The Jamaica Observer’s Karl McLarty shared a video from the ceremony.
