WATCH: National U-19 footballer, Omar Laing, fatally shot in drive-by

KINGSTON, Jamaica — National Under-19 footballer and Cavalier Football Club striker, Omar Laing, has been fatally shot in a drive-by on Charles Street in West Kingston, moments ago.

OBSERVER ONLINE understands that Laing was celebrating his 18th birthday when he was shot. Laing was the leading goal scorer for St Andrew Technical High School last year in the ISSA/Digicel Manning Cup competition.

Police are now on the scene. More details to come.
