WATCH: Jamaicans react to Warmington’s skin colour comment about Golding
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Members of the public have expressed mixed views on whether Government minister Everald Warmington should be sanctioned for utterances he made earlier this week about the skin colour of Opposition Leader Mark Golding.
Warmington, while addressing a Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) constituency meeting on Sunday, said Golding’s skin colour would prevent the People’s National Party president from becoming prime minister.
The comments drew widespread condemnation including from the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica and National Integrity Action, which said Warmington should be asked to resign or at least demoted for the remarks.
On Friday, OBSERVER ONLINE took to the streets of the Corporate Area to get the views of the public. Watch the video below.
