UPDATE: WATCH: Traffic at a standstill as taxi operators block main road in Westmoreland
WESTMORELAND, Jamaica — Disgruntled Whitehouse taxi operators have blocked the Bluefields main road in Westmoreland, the main thoroughfare from Savanna-La-Mar to Kingston. Traffic is now at a standstill.
One taxi operator told OBSERVER ONLINE that they are still not satisfied with the outcome of their peaceful demonstration at Savanna-La-Mar, on Monday morning.
Several commuters, including students, were left stranded on Monday morning as the taxi operators, who ply the Whitehouse to Savanna-La-Mar route in Westmoreland, have withdrew their services.

The cabbies were protesting the Public Order Reset being undertaken by the Westmoreland Police and the Municipal Corporation. The Public Order Reset got underway last week Tuesday.
