UPDATE: Suspect in slaying of St James 5-y-o arrested
ST JAMES, Jamaica— A man who is a suspect in the shooting death of five-year-old Tavoy Cummings has been arrested.

Charged with murder, wounding with intent, and shooting with intent is 22-year-old Obrian Hunter, otherwise called ‘Burch’ a labourer of Johns Hall in St James.
Hunter was charged with the murders of Cummings, and 26-year-old Semiu Shaw, a labourer of Johns Hall; and the injuring of another person who were reportedly shot while leaving a funeral in Johns Hall, in the parish on Sunday, November 20.
Reports from the police are that about 2:00pm four people boarded a vehicle after the thanksgiving service, when they were pounced upon by men who opened gunfire at the vehicle. When the shooting subsided, Cummings, Shaw and the injured man were seen suffering from gunshot wounds.
They were taken to the hospital where Cummings and Shaw were pronounced dead and the injured man treated.
On Sunday, December 25, Hunter was arrested and subsequently charged on Wednesday, December 28.
