UPDATE: Fire at Hedonism II now contained
HANOVER, Jamaica — The fire which destroyed two rooms at the Hedonism II Hotel in Negril has been contained.

The rooms were completely gutted and two others were damaged. There have been no reports injures.
The Westmoreland Fire Department reportedly received the call at 5:18 pm and two fire trucks responded – one from Negril and the other from Savanna-la-Mar. However, firefighters assigned to the Negril unit were able to contain the fire.
The officer in charge of the Westmoreland division of the Jamaica Fire Brigade Superintendent Rudolph Seaton told Observer Online that the cause of the fire is unknown.
“The Fire Investigation [Unit] will be carrying out their investigation to determine the cause of the fire,” stated Seaton.
Efforts to speak with the hotel management were unsuccessful.
The estimated damage caused by the fire is unknown at this time.
