Two shot in St Elizabeth, manhunt launched
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica – A manhunt has been launched by the St Elizabeth Police for a group of gunmen who shot and injured two persons in the Malvern area of the parish early Wednesday morning.
Head of the St Elizabeth Police – Superintendent Dwight Daley – confirmed that one of the gunmen was apprehended and a motor vehicle used by the suspects during a robbery spree seized.
The police said the gunmen are believed to be on foot in the area.
“Two people were shot and injured when the men were escaping,” said Daley.
He is urging residents in the area to be cautious while on the lookout for the gunmen. The men are believed to be armed with high-powered weapons.
