Teen among four arrested in lottery scam operation

ST JAMES, Jamaica— A teen is among four people who were arrested on Tuesday by members of the Lottery Scam Task Force following a police operation and two raids in West Village in Montego Bay, St James.

The operation emanated from an investigation at a business process outsourcing (BPO) company.

Charged with the possession of identity information with intent are: a 14-year-old student whose identity has been withheld, 21-year-old Hosea Leslie, Devacito Cumberland, and 19-year-old Omarian Hall.

The accused are to appear in the St James parish court on June 7, 2023.
