Suspect charged after allegedly lodging spade handle in man’s head
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — The St Elizabeth police is reporting that a suspect, who allegedly used a spade handle to kill a man by lodging the object in his head during a dispute in Tryall district, near Junction in St Elizabeth last Monday, has been charged with murder.
Head of the St Elizabeth police, Acting Superintendent Coleridge Minto, on Sunday disclosed that the accused, Romeo Smith, 27, a resident of Tryall is to face the court.
“The accused fled the scene. However, he was later arrested by the police… He has since been charged for murder,” said Minto.
