Still no official resignation from under-fire JFF Gen Sec Dalton Wint
KINGSTON, Jamaica- Up to early Tuesday afternoon, Dalton Wint, the embattled General Secretary of the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) was yet to submit an official resignation letter to the Michael Ricketts-led administration, despite giving a verbal commitment to the JFF president on Monday evening.
A sticking point is the severance package, with Wint said to be demanding to be paid his full salary up to the end of his contract in December 2023.
Wint has been the target of a strong protest by members of Jamaica’s national senior men’s team – the Reggae Boyz – who threatened not to play today’s Concacaf Nations League match against Suriname if the administrator was not removed from his post.

The Boyz skipped a scheduled training session late yesterday evening, casting tonight’s match into doubt, returning to the venue only after it was communicated that Wint had indicated his willingness to step aside.

However, according to OBSERVER ONLINE sources, the JFF board will officially terminate Wint’s contract, if his resignation letter is not received today.
Wint, who has been at the centre of several issues involving national teams, has been in the firing line after logistical issues, relating to travel arrangements following Saturday’s reverse fixture against the Surinamese.
Jamaica is scheduled to face Suriname today at 8 pm inside the National Stadium.
