St Elizabeth farmer chased, shot dead

ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — Police are probing the shooting death of a man in Maggotty, St Elizabeth on Tuesday.

Police identified the deceased as 47-year-old Courtney Dunkley, a farmer and resident of Cedar Spring District in Maggotty.

A police report said about 6:30 am Dunkley was heading to his farm when a minibus with two men aboard drove up. One of the men alighted from the vehicle armed with a gun.

Dunkley was chased and shot multiple times.

The police were alerted and Dunkley was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
