St Catherine taxi operator charged with raping 14-y-o girls
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – Kevon Chisolm otherwise called ‘Khago’ of Young Street in Spanish Town, has been charged with rape and sexual intercourse with a person under sixteen years.
According to the St Catherine Police, Chisolm, a taxi operator, was slapped with charges after allegedly assaulting two 14-year-old girls.
Reports state that between May and June 2022, Chisholm met the girls separately, on different occasions, and took them to a house on Welch Avenue in Gordon Pen, where he along with friends took turns and raped them.
A report was made to the police and Chisholm was subsequently arrested. He was charged after being pointed out by the teens during an ID parade.
Following charges being laid against Chisolm, the Jamaica Constabulary Force is reminding members of the public that sex crimes are serious offences and has encouraged possible victims of rape to come forward and report the crime.
Other females who may have been assaulted are being asked to contact the Spanish Town Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse at 876-984-2305, police 119 emergency number or Crime Stop at 311.
JCF says it will leave no stone unturned in its quest to bring perpetrators of sexual crimes to justice.
