St Catherine businessman accused of robbing, shooting truck driver in St Ann
ST ANN, Jamaica – A 38-year-old businessman has been accused of robbing a truck driver of his vehicle and cash before shooting and wounding the man in Moneague, St Ann in August.
Marvin Robinson of Rose Hall District, Linstead, St Catherine has been charged with robbery with aggravation, wounding with intent and the use of a prohibited weapon.
Reports from the St Ann’s Bay police are that about 1:15 pm, Robinson and another man held up and robbed the truck driver who went to deliver goods. Approximately $35,000 was reportedly stolen from the driver along with his Isuzu motor truck.
Robinson and his accomplice reportedly also opened gunfire hitting the truck man.
The police were alerted and the truck driver was taken to the hospital where he was treated.

Investigations led to the arrest and charge of Robinson.
His accomplice is currently being sought by the police.
