St Ann man killed in suspected hit-and-run
ST ANN, Jamaica— Police are investigating the death of a man who was killed in a suspected hit-and-run along the Ocho Rios Bypass in St Ann on Sunday.
Dead is 47-year-old Richard Anderson, who is of a St Ann address.
Reports from the Ocho Rios Police are that about 6:40 pm, Anderson was standing along the roadway when a motor vehicle hit him and allegedly sped off.
The police were alerted and on their arrival, Anderson was seen lying down in a pool of blood. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities are urging the driver of the motor vehicle involved in the incident to turn himself in to the nearest police station immediately.
