Soup vendor fatally shot in Westmoreland
WESTMORELAND, Jamaica— A well-known soup vendor was shot and killed in front of the Jamaica National Bank ATM on Barracks Road in Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland, early Thursday morning.
The deceased has only been identified by his alias ‘Soup Man’.
It is reported that residents heard loud explosions and summoned the police.
Lawmen arrived to find the soup vendor in a pool of blood, motionless.
He was later transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Westmoreland police are investigating.
