Shery Lee Ralph wins Best Supporting Actress at Critics Choice Awards
Emmy-winning actress Shery Lee Ralph is the winner of the Critics Choice Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
Ralph won the award for her role as Barbara Howard, a seasoned and religious kindergarten teacher in ABC’s Abbott Elementary; making her the first black woman to win an individual award in the category at the Critics Choice Award.
In September 2022, she won her first Emmy at 65-years-old for the same role.

In addition, for her sterling contribution as an actress, cultural ambassador of Jamaica and for her contribution to the international film industry, she received the Honorary Order of Jamaica.
