Seven inmates escape police lock-up in Black River
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — There was a jailbreak at the Black River police station lock-up overnight.
Police sources have confirmed that seven inmates charged with murder, robbery and other serious crimes escaped the lock-up by cutting through a window.
“They cut the metal bar at the window. It has to be a machine they use to cut that. One cell guard with 60 odd prisoners,” a police source told OBSERVER ONLINE on Monday morning.
Police have since launched a manhunt in search of the seven inmates.
