Sandals treats team on National Administrative Professionals’ Day
ST JAMES, Jamaica— With April 27 recognised this year as National Administrative Professionals’ Day, Sandals Resorts International feted its administrative team across various departments for their impactful service by hosting a special Sip & Paint Luncheon in their honour.
“The value our Administrative Professionals add to our operations is immeasurable and we take today (April 27) to show gratitude for the awesome role they play, the level of efficiency and effectiveness they contribute help to keep our operations successful,” Human Resource Manager, Tomeisha McKenzie, shared.
During the event, fingers which are usually busy preparing documents held paintbrushes; creating beautiful canvas art as the group enjoyed gourmet meals, music and wine.
“I enjoyed this experience. It was so nice to not only be treated to a five-star meal but I was allowed to relax while expressing my creativity all while being reminded how valuable my role is within the company,” Environment, Health and Safety Coordinator, Jhanelle Powell, said.
“Managing various portfolio areas isn’t always easy, so it is nice when administrative efforts don’t go unnoticed,” Executive Administrative Assistant, Tasha-Gaye Davis said.
Meanwhile, Food & Beverage Administrator, Kerry-Ann Esty, echoed the sentiments of her colleagues and thanked the Sandals executive team on behalf of the group for the wonderful afternoon celebrating the company’s Administrative Professionals.
National Administrative Professionals’ Day is observed annually in the US, Canada, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Jamaica on the Wednesday of the last full week of April.
