Quick action of chef averts fire at Buff Bay Primary
PORTLAND, Jamaica – The quick action of a chef at the Buff Bay Primary School in Portland averted a fire at the institution on Wednesday morning.
Sources told the OBSERVER ONLINE that smoke was seen coming from the library and the chef immediately reached for the fire extinguisher and outed the smoke coming from the electrical panel.
He, however, inhaled some of the smoke and was taken to a clinic, where he’s being treated.
Principal, Jacqueline Edwards, suggested that the quick action of the chef resulted in no student being injured.
