Popcaan partners with Clarks in new Wallabee design
Dancehall artiste Popcaan has collaborated with shoe brand Clarks Originals in the launch of the latest design of their Wallabee line.
In a video posted to social media announcing the partnership, Popcaan is seen experiencing the country life of Somerset, England in search of the Clarks Originals headquarters but gets lost along the way. He encounters a herd of sheep before stopping in a tea shop to ask for directions.
He ultimately gets to Clarks Originals headquarters to oversee the design of the shoes before packing a barrel of the footwear to ship to Jamaica.
This is the artiste’s first collaboration with Clarks Originals, and to add his style to the design Popcaan, real name Andrae Sutherland, reinterprets the well-liked Wallabee with a red colour scheme, and a camouflage print with his signature ‘Unruly’ slang printed throughout the pattern.
Clarks Originals said in the post that the new design will be made available on November 10 at selected Jamaican retailers including Signature Style, Trevor’s Clothing, Accessories and Collectibles, Fashion Express and Cann’s Originals.
This collaboration will also be available via Clarks UK, US, EU, Japan and China, and in Clarks Originals stores in London, Manchester, Osaka, Tokyo and Beijing.
