Two of four inmates who escaped Ocho Rios lock up recaptured
ST ANN, Jamaica – Two of the four inmates who escaped from the Ocho Rios Police lock-up in St Ann in August, last year have been recaptured.
They are Jermaine Rodgers of Mile End in Ocho Rios, St Ann, and Javar Grant of Priory also in the parish. They are charged with illegal possession of firearm.
Terrence Harrelal , 40, of Claremont St Mary was fatally shot in an alleged police confrontation in Hampstead Runaway Bay, St Ann last December while the fourth escapee, Dennis Colbourne remains at large.
Head of the St Ann Police Senior Superintendent Dwight Powell says Colbourne who is of an Islington, St Mary address was charged with rape.
“We are using this opportunity to appeal to Mr Cooburn to turn yourself over to the police, any police station across the country will suffice. Just to let you know that we are continuing our relentless effort to apprehend you.” SSP Powell warned.
He is urging Colbourne to turn himself in by Friday July 14.
