Petrojam’s UCASE-represented employees return to work
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Petrojam employees affiliated to the Union of Clerical, Administrative and Supervisory Employees (UCASE) have returned to work, Petrojam revealed on Thursday.
This follows a meeting held on Wednesday at the Ministry of Labour and Social Security with the Management of Petrojam and UCASE. On Wednesday, some categories of Petrojam employees represented by UCASE staged a sick-out over concerns regarding the Public Sector Compensation Restructure for the company.

“A meeting was subsequently held at the MOLSS during which the ministry expressed its commitment to continuing negotiations, contingent on the resumption of normal work activities. UCASE met with its members this morning at 8:00 am and the employees have since returned to work. A meeting is now on at the MOLSS with Petrojam’s Management, UCASE, and the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service,” a statement read.
