Person of interest in cop’s murder shot dead by police
KINGSTON, Jamaica – A person of interest in the murder of a police constable earlier this month has been shot dead by lawmen.
Keith Ruddock, otherwise called Hodges, was killed during a confrontation with the police on Friday morning in Red Hills, St Andrew.
Information reaching OBSERVER ONLINE is that about 10am, members of the St Andrew Central Police division were on a targeted operation in the Mosquito Valley area when they went to a house occupied by Ruddock.

Upon reaching the house, the cops were reportedly fired upon by Ruddock. They reportedly took evasive action and returned fire hitting Ruddock.
Ruddock was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Ruddock, who was deported from the United States in 2021 on firearm and drug related charges, was a person of interest in the October 15 shooting death of Constable Brian Martin of the St Andrew Central police division.
Martin was shot dead while attending a wake in Frog City, St Andrew. Four other individuals, including a 10-year-old, were shot and injured when gunmen opened fire at the event.
