National Trials: Seville, Blakes lead men into 100m final with sub-10 clockings
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Favourite Oblique Seville looked awesome as he eased to 9.92 and was the fastest into the men’s 100m final at the national trials on Friday.
Kemar Bailey-Cole was second in that semi-final with 10.04.
The 2011 World 100m champion, Yohan Blake of Titans continued his fine form in winning his semi-final in 9.98 and was second fastest into the final in winning ahead of Ackeem Blake in 9.99.
The senior men’s final is set for 8:35 pm Friday.
Meanwhile, in the Under-20 category, Bouwahjgie Nkrumie of Kingston College cruised into the final with 10.41, but it is Sandrey Davison of St Catherine High who will enter the final with the fastest time of 10.34.
