Motorist killed in Clarendon gun attack
CLARENDON, Jamaica – Police are trying to find a motive and suspects following this Saturday afternoon’s killing of a motorist at McGilchrist Palm in Toll Gate, Clarendon.
The dead man, identified as 38-year-old Sheldon Smith, from Race Track in Denbigh, Clarendon, was found dead in his motor car with gunshot wounds.
Reports are that around 4:30 pm, residents reported hearing explosions and summoned the police.
On arrival of the police, the body of the now-deceased was seen in a white AD Wagon motor car with the driver door opened and his upper body slightly outside.
The police said the body had what appeared to be gunshot wounds to the head. The scene was processed, and the body taken to the May Pen Hospital, where it was pronounced dead.
Police said they are investigating a motive for the attack and are trying to identify suspects.
