Missing woman found dead in Manchester identified
MANCHESTER, Jamaica – Police have identified a woman whose partially decomposed body was found on Bethel Street, Greenvale on Tuesday.
She is 45-year-old Paula Saunders, a resident of Top Greenvale.
Her neighbours told OBSERVER ONLINE that she had gone missing Monday. Her body was found in a remote section of Bethel Street covered by pieces of log.

Police report that about 8:50 am, residents stumbled upon the body and alerted them. However, residents told OBSERVER ONLINE that the body was found on Tuesday afternoon.
The police said Saunders’ hands and feet were bound. Residents believe that her killer had intended to burn her body. The scene was processed and the body removed to the morgue.
When OBSERVER ONLINE visited the community on Wednesday morning, residents claimed a man from the area was arrested in connection with the woman’s death.
Efforts to contact head of the Manchester police, Superintendent Lloyd Darby, were futile as calls and messages sent to him were not answered up to midday on Wednesday.
