Manchester man to face upgraded murder charge following landlord’s death
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — The Manchester Police are set to upgrade a charge against a 30-year-old man who stabbed his landlord after the 63-year-old man succumbed to his injuries.
Toby Clarke of Chudleigh District in the parish was initially charged with attempted murder after a July 3 incident involving Gregory Andrade, a farmer, also of Chudleigh District.
Andrade was allegedly attacked by Clarke, who used a knife to inflict wounds to his head, right hand and right eye.
Andrade was admitted to the hospital in an unconscious state.
He died on Saturday, August 13.
Clarke is expected to be charged with murder pending investigations.
