Man in custody following gun seizure in St Andrew

ST ANDREW, Jamaica – A man is now in custody following the seizure of an Arcus 9-millimetre pistol fitted with a magazine containing nine 9-millimetre rounds of ammunition on Westport Avenue, Riverton City, Kingston 11 on Saturday, November 26.

According to the police, the seizure took place during a joint operation with the Jamaica Defence Force in the St Andrew South community

Reports from the Hunt’s Bay Police are that lawmen conducted an operation in the area, when a house was searched and the firearm and ammunition was found in a room.

The man was taken into custody in connection with the seizure, however, his identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
