Lisa Bell to demit office as managing director at EXIM Bank
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Board of Directors of the National Export-Import (EXIM) Bank of Jamaica Limited on Tuesday announced that Lisa Bell will step down from her post as managing director effective April 30.
Bell joined the EXIM Bank in 2010, having previously served at the state’s investment and export promotions agency, the Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO) as vice president.
“Under her leadership, the Bank’s loans portfolio was expanded significantly to the productive and MSME sectors. She also spearheaded the modernisation of the bank to provide financing support to the productive sector,” EXIM said in a statement on Tuesday.
“Other achievements during her time at EXIM include the Bank becoming ISO 9001:2015 Certified in April 2020, and the Bank winning the Public Bodies Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance for 2019. The Bank was also recognised by the Jamaica Business Leaders Awards for its contribution to private sector growth through its innovative loan offerings,” EXIM noted, adding that the bank thanks Bell for her contributions to the growth and development of EXIM.
During her tenure, Bell also served on several public sector boards and committees including the Jamaica International Financial Services Authority, Tourism Linkages Council, Tourism COVID-19 Impact Committee and the Jamaica Stock Exchange Best Practices committee.
