JFF receives new team bus
KINGSTON, Jamaica— Stewart’s Automotive Group (SAG) has given a bus to the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) for its national teams.
The bus, a King Long XMQ6858Y, was donated to the JFF by Jameco Equipment Company, a subsidiary of SAG.
It seats 38 passengers and has been wrapped in decals representing the JFF’s logo.
JFF President, Michael Ricketts, says the gift represents a long partnership between the body and SAG, for which he is proud of and grateful.
“I must express how appreciative we are,” Ricketts said at a press conference for the official handover of the vehicle on Tuesday afternoon. “We have some vehicles that Stewart’s would’ve given to us and if you look at them, you could guess how long and how old this relationship has been. But we are very, very excited at the prospects.”
The bus will be in use on Wednesday as Jamaica’s senior Reggae Girlz travel to St James for an international friendly match against Paraguay at the Montego Bay Sports Complex on Thursday. The teams will meet again at the National Stadium in Kingston on Sunday.
