Jaydon Hibbert leaps to World Athletics Male Rising Star of the Year Award nomination
World U-20 triple jump champion Jaydon Hibbert has been nominated for the 2022 World Athletics Male Rising Star of the Year Award.
Hibbert leapt to a championship record and lifetime best jump of 17.27m to claim gold in the event at the World U-20 Championships in Cali, Colombia in August.
The former Kingston College sensation is now second on the U-18 all-time list and the equal eighth-best U-20 triple jumper in the history of the event.
Hibbert joins his compatriot and former Hydel High sprint hurdler, Kerrica Hill, who was selected as a nominee for the World Athletics Female Rising Star of the Year Award on Tuesday.
