Ishawna inks first international record deal
Dancehall artiste Ishawna has signed her first major international record deal.
The ‘Slippery When Wet’ artiste made an Instagram post to share her excitement about the new venture with New York-based record label Payday Records.
“Signed, sealed and ready to deliver!!! I am super excited to announce that I just signed my first international record deal,” Ishawna wrote.
This follows the Dancehall Cinderella’s recent collaboration with international artiste Ed Sheeran on the single ‘Brace It’.
Ishawna, clad in a hot pink suit with feathered sleeves, posted a photo of her signing a contract with Payday executive Patrick Moxey and producer Cordel ‘Skatta’ Burrell.
“Thank you Patrick Moxey @paydayrecords @ultrapublishing and the entire team. I’m so grateful to now have you as part of my journey. Thank you @skattaburrell for always being there for me, I’m so happy to share this moment with you,” she continued.
The artiste also thanked her fans for their support and shared that this is only the beginning for ‘Team Ishy’.
