#Intimate: Red Stripe honours Marcia Griffiths with Living Legend Award

ST ANN, Jamaica –Queen of Reggae Marcia Griffiths was recognised for her longevity and contribution to reggae music by Red Stripe at the Intimate concert on Sunday.

The icon was presented with the 2023 Living Legend Award.

The inaugural award was presented to the iconic singer after her set at the Grizzly’s Plantation Cove in St Ann. In a beautiful spectacle, the veteran basked in the heart-warming moment as she received an outpouring of love from patrons.

Griffiths was famously toured and recorded as a member of the I-Threes, Bob Marley’s harmony group, alongside Rita Marley and Judy Mowatt.

She also enjoyed a highly successful solo career with a number of classics like ‘Stepping Outa Babylon’, ‘Dreamland’ and the Bunny Wailer-written ‘Electric Boogie’.
