Gunmen kill cabinet maker and driver in Mt. Carey, St James
MT CAREY, St James – Gunmen murdered two middle-aged men, one of whom is a cabinet-maker, while they were transporting a cabinet set in a truck along a road in Mount Carey in St. James this morning.
The Corporate Communications Unit confirmed the shooting deaths of the men but were sketchy on the details or the motive of the attack.
“We are waiting on more information with the ground commander,” the representative said.
The two men have been identified as Henry Salmon, a 64 year-old cooking gas operator of a Mount Carey address, and his friend, cabinet maker Gilbert Jackson, 56, of York Bush, which is also in Mount Carey.
Anecdotal reports suggest that Salmon was using his truck to assist Jackson to deliver a cupboard set when gunmen pounced and killed the two men. Residents believe that robbery may have been the motive.
