Flow celebrates World Championships success
With Jamaica completing another successful outing at the World Athletics Championships, communications and entertainment provider Flow is exuding pride with the entire nation on the country’s medal haul.
Flow was a broadcast partner for the World Championships on TVJ which ensured Jamaicans across the island witnessed the phenomenal performances of the athletes in Budapest, Hungary between August 19-27.
Jamaica finished fourth in the medal table with three golds, five silvers and four bronzes for a total of 12 medals. According to Latoy Lawrence, Flow’s Acting Marketing Director, the success of the athletes continues to represent the best of Jamaica.
“Global events such as the World Athletics Championships are a great platform for the world to see the best of Jamaica represented by our athletes’ talent, sportsmanship, and endearing camaraderie. It is also a landmark moment for Jamaicans that reminds us of our innate gifts and brilliance, and this is something Flow celebrates and we were proud to play our role in helping to deliver this amazing event for all of Jamaica to witness,” said Lawrence.
The company added its own unique experience to the Championships with a watch party on Friday, August 25 at Janga’s Soundbar in Kingston. Flow customers and team members gathered at the urban area watering hole to see Shericka Jackson’s historic gold medal run in the women’s 200m. There were also frenzied cheers for the women’s 4x100m relay, which included Flow’s Brand Ambassador and double Olympic champion, Elaine Thompson-Herah.

The company’s other innovation, Smart Wi-Fi, is an updated internet solution that improves wall-to-wall connectivity and gives users more control over who has access to their Wi-Fi and how those persons access the internet.
