Fisherman charged for allegedly pointing gun, threatening to kill man

PORTLAND, Jamaica – A fisherman has been charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, unlawful wounding, assault occasioning bodily harm and assault at common law following an incident in Barracks, Manchioneal in Portland on June 6.

Charged is 32-year-old Martin Gayle, otherwise called ‘Zeeball’ of Long Road in the parish.

Reports are that about 8:00 pm, Gayle and another man got into a heated argument. Gayle allegedly pulled a handgun from his waist, pointed it at the man and threatened to kill him.

A report was made to the police and Gayle was arrested and charged on Sunday, June 11.
