Firearm, ammunition seized in Canaan Heights, Clarendon

KINGSTON, Jamaica – A team of officers assigned to the Clarendon Police Division seized one firearm during an operation in Canaan Heights, Clarendon on Saturday, October 21.

Reports from the May Pen police are that at 11:55 pm, lawmen were in the area when they stopped at a party to ascertain if the organiser of the event had a permit.

While the police team was leaving the premises, one Taurus PT 92 AF 9mm pistol with a magazine containing fourteen 9mm rounds of ammunition was seen on the ground.

No one was arrested in relation to the seizure.

Investigation continues.
