Dillgin readies himself for all-island tour
KINGSTON, Jamaica- Still on a high from his debut performance at Reggae Sumfest this summer, recording artiste Dillgin is getting ready to embark on an all-island tour.
In an interview with Observer Online, Dillgin said having received good feedback from the crowd at what is considered to be Jamaica’s biggest musical showcase, he decided it was time to spread his sound right across Jamaica.
“The people have been showing me so much love. I was pleased with the reception I got at Sumfest. It was my first time and it was a great experience for me. To perform on a platform like that, one of Jamaica’s biggest shows, it definitely gave me a boost to go do my thing right across Jamaica,” he said. “There will be 14 shows, one in every parish and people should just look forward to a great time with Dillgin. I will be joined on the shows by another artiste by the name of High Priest. Together we will give people joy and happiness through music,” he said.
The tour is set to kick-off in January.
Dillgin, known for songs such as Mayweather, Lock Di Road, My Life and Party featuring Sikka Rymes, said he hopes lovers of music come out to enjoy the showcase he has put together.
“I am always in the studio working on new projects. I’m about to release a new track titled Memories. Mayweather is still going good and so I just want everyone who loves good music to come out and have a good time with me as I move across Jamaica,” he said. “With all that’s going on in Jamaica and the world, we need spiritual protection and I want to share that love and unity through this tour.”
